Size by girth, not by breed. Two fingers should slide under the strap once it is fastened.

Which size fits a 7 kg dog?

The M covers 6 to 10 kg, which is Miniature Schnauzer, Dachshund or Pug territory. Size by girth rather than breed: measure the chest right behind the front legs, and two fingers should slide under the strap once fastened.

Does it work for cats?

Yes, it is listed for cats as well as dogs. The XS covers 1.5 to 3 kg and the S 3 to 6 kg, so most cats land in one of those.

Is the leash included?

How does it go on?

Step-in: the front paws go through, then it buckles on the back, so there is no pulling a vest over the head. For a car restraint, attach the tether to the harness, never to a collar.
