Does it need to be plugged into the mains?

No, it is USB powered, so it runs from a USB port or a standard USB adapter rather than a fixed mains plug. Keep the cable reach in mind when you pick a spot for it.

What happens if my cat drinks it dry while I am out?

The pump has anti-dry-burn protection, so it cuts out instead of burning out if the tank empties. The tank is transparent, so you can see the level from across the room and top it up before that happens.

How often will I need to refill it?

The tank holds 1.5 L, about 6.3 cups, which keeps one or two cats going for a few days between refills. Rinse it before the first fill and wash it regularly so the water stays fresh.

Is it hard to keep clean?

Not really. The clean-water outlet is an independent piece with no hidden dirt traps, so there is nowhere for slime to build up out of sight. Rinse everything before first use and give it a regular wash.

How long does delivery take?
